There are some people in my family who have been wearing certain clothing items for a long, L-O-N-G, time. These clothes are allegedly, ahem, “broken in” and so comfy that they just a can’t seem to get rid of them or not wear them.
Are you like this?
I can’t fill the Goodwill bag fast enough. My motto is if you haven’t worn it in a year, you’re not ever going to wear it again. Get rid of it. But that’s me. I like to make room for change. I like to see what else I can find. -Continue Reading
The sun comes up everyday, whether we see it or not, and with it comes the rise of a new day. Life breaths again. Dawn refreshes us with “beginning”. But what is a beginning?
An online dictionary states:
a start; commencement
a first, early start or stage
the place where or time when something starts
an origin; source
I like the idea of something starting, the origin or source of “whatever” is beginning.
The concept of beginning is a wonderful thing.
Each day a reminder that life can begin again. Yesterdays life was for yesterday, today is poised with potential. But I must confess that I bring yesterdays drab into today. Somedays use up all my energy, will and faith; leaving me empty and drawn. I bring my emptiness into the new beginning. This doesn’t work. It is much like wiping a dirty window with a dirty rag. The dirt from the rag and the dirt on the window smears all over with a fresh mess.
When I was younger I used to dream blissfully that with a new day, a new beginning, life would better, things would be better, I would be better. Life has taught me a different lesson.
Sometimes better doesn’t come with the new day.
But beginning always does!
So maybe I should ask myself the question, “What can begin in me again today?”
